I also had to look this guy/girl up. Every once in a while, I get this urge to move to Canada (will I lose my Social Security? ) All my best--C4Js.

What's the big attraction for Canada? (You'd have to call the Social Security Admin to answer your question.)

Oh darn. One of my pharmacy technicians went up to visit her gram. Everyone of the pictures was so gorgeous, it just got me to thinking about the simple life-water waves, twinkling of harbar bells, & having your own beach w/out competing with tons of outer-towners. Hmmmm, I can just smell that fragrant fresh salt water.

BayGrannie, as long as your social security is paid into a US bank account, you can live anywhere you wish. I have clients in Canada and in Mexico who are on SS; they arrange a simple bank transfer to a local bank. No problem.

Oh thanks so much--maybe I can fulfill my dream after all!

BayGrannie, it's wonderful to pursue a dream, but please consider - you'll leave your friends, medical support system and possibly a familiar way of life behind. Canada's socialized medical system is quite different from ours - not better, not worse, just different - and you may not be able to find the care you need in a smaller town. Not trying to dash your dream, but please do research before diving in. Hugs.

Good tip aknan-I do have epilepsy & take a lot of meds to control it. Thanks for the reality check, I do remember one ambulance trip to Hospital where I saw the "white light of heaven". I felt so calm & happy--peaceful. Of course, when I got to E.R. ICU, I was still in coma--MD could get no response when they kept shining light into my eyes. Weirdly, I could hear everything around me. My neurologist considered this very important. She made notes in patient history & asked how I felt about this-MD told me I may be getting a call.
What a cute little dog and he seems to have something in his sight.
