All I remember from the 40s was getting my fingers caught in the doors. Ouch! Both doors closed against the same support beam. Finally the companies got smart and turned the rear door around. No more pinched fingers. It is nice to have heat and A/C. I still have my father's winter traveling blanket f rom the 30s.
I remember siblings getting their fingers slammed too. That traveling blanket is really nice to have! Happy New Year, Sally

They now have blankets that will heat when you put them in cig. socket. Seems like a silly thing to have in the car, but I get if you get stranded somewhere you can at least stay warm.

My daughter runs cold, and her husband runs hot, so I think when they travel, the cig lighter thing may be a good idea. She takes little cat naps while he's driving, and she's always covered up.

Not sure he found them but I think it was maybe Walmart, during the winter in automotive section.

I know how she feels, not just in the car but also in the house, the guys about freeze me! I keep the vent shut in the room in the most during the day!
Over the summer, I drive a 1936 open top tour bus in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA. An incredible summer job and the vehicles are much like this one. Glacier's buses are also red & black. They go over the Going-To-The-Sun road, through the park. Super scenic!!!
Nlb, my favorite is hexagon, although I've also done puzzles in tessellation. Nice to have more choices and different backgrounds to work them on, isn't it?

Yes it is nice. The very first thing I did was change the background. The free one made it difficult working many of the puzzles.
I like the older cars better
God bless you all and may you roll along the road of life in comfort and ease.
