Nice apples, but I don't care to eat apples. Don't mind them in a recipe--just don't like them raw! Mystery puzzle.

I like almost any kinds of apples but I think Jonathan and McIntosh are my favorites. The Cider Mills are officially opened now, it is time for corn roasts and apples. My husband loves homemade apple sauce. I'll have to make him some soon. Happy Sunday to all and a Happy Labor Day tomorrow.

I love apple butter but I'm the only one in my family who does. Jars of the stuff are too big for one person. Guess I'll have to learn how to make my own. My personal favorites of apples are Winesap and Golden Delicious.

PS: cornbread is wonderful with applesauce in it.

My mom made apple butter years go. All I remember it that it simmered all day and had cinnamon sticks in it and smelled divine.

I've got a fabulous crust recipe. My family says they could eat that without any pie in it! Recipe was given to me by a cook from New Orleans, La.
