The natural rock sculptures in this jigsaw puzzle belong to Arches National Park in Utah. These tall sandstone formations are sought out by rock climbers around the world.
Love this park...especially the area with the double arch, but it is beautiful everywhere. After seeing a video of a father and son trying to drive through a wildfire in Glacier where I initially planned to go, I'm changing my mind. There's only one road through Glacier so if you have a fire on that one you're out of luck. May go back to Moab area and take in Canyonlands which is a neighbor to this park and which we missed last time around.
(By some miracle the father and son made it out. Thought I should mention that.)
Wishing you happy future plans.
PS. Had endoscopy and all clear except a small hernia. Thank you God!
Zion is our favorite but Arches is right up there with our other favs. Been there twice and stil haven't seen it all. The longer hikes at the end of the road like to delicate arch we skipped.
Some how I missed doing this puzzle yesterday!! What a twit I can be at times. We had a visitor at 7:30 this morning, a woman in tears was at our door she had walked several miles looking for help. She had run out of gas and the only station around was closed. Turns out her husband (newlyweds) was in jail, she had no groceries, had been digging in dumpsters looking for food. Well when Ed and I heard all this we made her come in the house, got her some food, we always keep a couple of gas cans full just in case anyways Ed took her back to her car and put 5 gallons of gas in it. Then he came home. This young woman just brought me to tears, I was so glad we were able to help her. Said a prayer, hope she will be ok. Didn't even get her name. Truly broke my heart.
I'm surprised it took so long to put this together. It was the dual colors on a lot of pieces which I thought would be easy before I began.
I'm usually at the bottom most of the time anyway. No surprise there!
This is one of my very favorite national parks. The hiking is tremendous, the scenery fantastic and the colors are glorious! Wish I could go there again, but traveling is very difficult for my Dearly Beloved and hiking is not possible. At least I have my memories!
