Cataract operation tomorrow. Would appreciate prayers. Weather a bit dicey this week. Winter is here. We could all use nice thick coats like this guy. There's a special beauty about animals that are still wild.
Wishing you the opportunity to explore your "wild" side.
Prayers for your surgery tomorrow. I have several friends that have had that and they've all been very pleased with the outcome. Hope you do the same!
I could use some prayers for a procedure that I'm having next week. It's a fairly simple procedure but they have to put me to sleep to do it. I hate the effects anesthesia has on me. Hopefully this will help me with one of the side effects of MS. MS affects so much more than I ever knew! I've probably had it for 20-30 years, but I just received the diagnosis one month ago. Since then, I feel like the jigsaw puzzle that is my body is falling apart, and each individual puzzle piece is being examined. My doctor just says, "Yep, that's a symptom of MS. Here's a new medication and go see another specialist." Oh bother!
Wishing you all good health. God Bless!

Wishing you well and anxious to hear about it --- as it is in my future too. Both eyes but one is a definite first to be done.

Pixi, my mother had her cataracts removed - absolutely no problems and could see to read without her glasses the very next day. May it be the same for you.

Good morning, Pixi. Just this last summer I had cataracts removed from both eyes. I was legally blind in one, and the other was very close. I had to quit driving, which drove me crazy! This meant I couldn't see my grandchildren for 3 months. However, all in all, it was worth it. The only word that can describe what I felt was miracle. The only time I have to use glasses now is when I'm driving or watching tv. Amazing, right? And you can't even feel the surgery. It was a piece of cake! I'm diabetic, and have to be careful in everything I do. There was no problem with that area either. Once in a while now, my breath is almost taken away as I realize that I can See!. Best sight I've had since I was a child, and I'm 63 now. You're going to be so very happy about all this. Give it a little time. Like 4 hours! lol When I got to take the bandage off, immediately I could see and I told everyone I could about it. My daughter never said a word about my gushing happiness, but I'm sure she must have gotten tired of it. Blessings to your and your medical team. You will find you have a new hero in your surgeon. :)

I hope your operation goes well - it's a pretty routine operation that was originally done during the times of ancient Rome. I have clear cataracts, so, no surgery needed for now.

Thanks so much xyxy and jamp. Had my right eye fixed 6 years ago. No problems but have to wear sunglasses in bright light or get snow blindness almost immediately. Still any procedure where they are cutting is always at least a little risky, so I appreciate your prayers.

You have my prayers as well, pixi. Let us know how the operation turns out.
My mother had a cataract operation when she was in her 70s. Afterward she said, "I'm not sure I like it - now I can see all the wrinkles! "

Joyce - sorry to hear about your diagnosis of MS. I hope that the operation and medications help. A few years ago, my doctor thought I might have MS, but fortunately, it was just severe muscle tension.

Thank you Pixi and trynfindit for your prayers. I have a busy week getting checked out all over just to be able to have anesthesia! For heaven's sake, it's just a simple procedure!! They're not even cutting the skin! Oh well, at least I have a good sense of humor and can find something funny in everything!
Pixi, I'm so glad everything turned out okay. Take this time to relax and be taken care of. You deserve it!

Thanks Jamie. So many things mimic MS, so getting a diagnosis can be so frustrating. I hope you were able to get treated for your muscle tension. That can be so painful...

Thanks, Joyce. Had the follow up checkup today and it's all good.
So many safeguards these days...some good and needed others just an annoyance brought on by the insurance companies. Gald you have that sense of humor. Nothing better for getting thru things.

At the time, I was seeing a personal trainer who just did a lot of passive stretching exercises, but, after a while, some body part would just start trembling.
One of the problem with several disorders like MS, Fibromyalgia, myofacia issues, etc. is so many other disorders have similar symptoms, some are diagnosed by ruling out everything else. There is still a lot of room for advancement in medicine.

You're so right Jamie. It feels like doctors say, "Let's just sit back and let this person suffer while we put their puzzle together. We can throw them a bone every once in a while and give them pills for this pain, and pills for that pain, and send them to physical therapy which helps them feel better, but it doesn't cure the problem. Then when they're ready to completely collapse, we'll do a test that we could have done in the first place that would have given us the answer, but it was too expensive, and...look how much we learned by watching them suffer! " Ask your doctor if they will do a lumbar puncture and other tests on the spinal fluid. It sounds terribly painful, but it's not. I hurt more from laying still on my stomach than I did from the puncture! The test shows so much information about your nervous system, and they can make a diagnosis from there. Then the proper treatment can start from there. Of course I AM NOT A DOCTOR!!! And I have no idea what your symptoms are...I just know what I went through, and I wouldn't want anyone else to suffer like I did. Good luck with your search for answers! God bless!
Beautiful animal!! They have reintroduced wolves in Oregon [ not artic ] and some of the ranchers don't like it. I think it's wonderful. We don't need to kill off another breed of animals because of our ignorance. Still really cold here, but at least no more snow yet. Have a doctors appointment today, 70 miles on snowy and icy roads. I think it's time to move lol :). Hope everyone is doing well and are going to have a lovely day.
Oh that's annoying. My doctor just came out to see me on his bicycle! Not 70 miles though, more like one! and it's just cold and miserable, no snow round here. I guess there's time yet. hope your journey went well.

One of the reasons why wolves are needed is the large amounts of deer and rabbits in many parts of the nation.
God bless all of you. Hugs.
Hugs and blessings to you too.
