I just write what is in my heart.I wrote something a while back called " I'm Sorry Mommy". It was something I felt Jake would have said to me if he could talk to me again. It is very indearing to me.

Thank you Taffi. I think about Jake every single day. The way he talked, the way he wore his clothes, his mannerism or lack of, LOL, the fun times and the bad times we had. I just wish there was some way that things could have been different. I love my other two kids just as much as I loved Jake. But he was so different from day one. If only I would have known about mental illnesses a lot sooner.

Thank you rahrah. Jake's birthday is a little more than 2 weeks away. Halloween is coming up, fall is in the air, and I sense Jake all around me. He loved this time of year. I can't believe it has been 8 years already we said our final goodbyes to him. He will have been 30. It just seems so weird.

I think it's very sweet and reassuring when we can feel our loved ones near. I haven't felt it too often, but my sister has dreams of them. Today is one of our brother's first anniversary of his death, and she woke up from a dream with him in it, in which he tells her it's time for her to not be so sad anymore and to get on with her life. She called me this afternoon to share that with me. We are really missing him, as I know you are your Jake.

First, I am sorry to hear about your brother's passing. Dreams are something I would love to hold on and not wake up from, especially when it has Jake. I know our loved ones want us to go on and that is why I am back in school so I can get a career as a Special Needs teacher. He would be so proud of me. So many of my family are gone
my husband 3 brothers 5 sisters 1 nephew a niece
and this year 3 nieces
one of them was buried one day and another died that night in her sleep
ever night I dream about some of them

When I see your losses, I also see how much you have been loved, and how many people you have shared your love with. Like you, I came from a large family (6 bros, 3 sis) and have been watching my family dwindle down, so I know how sad it can be. I think it's so sweet of the Lord to lead us into places where we can share these things with people who can relate, share our sadness, and encourage to go on. dbnc2, I can tell by your posts that you are a very dear person, one I'd like to know personally, if we lived close by one another. Peace to you, and joy overflowing.

Yes, we can be friends, and I already count you as one. Did your dad ever marry again? Your big sisters and brothers had their hands full with you, didn't they? lol I'm next to the youngest, and there are 5 out of 10 siblings left. It's hard losing them.

My dad married when I was about 16 or 17
when I was 9 there were 3 still at home with him
we went to stay with older sister

That was very kind of your older sister. I have an older sister that would have done that, if the need had been there. She's been the matriarch of our family since our mom died 21 years ago. We all gather at her house for Thanksgiving.
