My brother married into a farming family in Nebraska. They probably grew corn. I never saw the farm itself but stayed with the brother of the family who worked the farm with his dad. Sadly he was bitten by a mosquito that gave him encephalitis. He became unable to work. The father also had a terrible thing happen. One of the insecticide spouts jammed and in trying to fix it he got dowsed with the insecticide. Although he immediately showered and had his clothes laundered apparently enough of the insecticide remained in them that after putting them on again and sweating into them it got into his pores and blocked them up. He became unable to sweat. He had to farm from the air-conditioned cab of his tractor and avoid being in the heat. Any helpthe gov't gives farmers is deserved ten times over. It's a very dangerous and difficult job.

Be safe out there.
