I am so sorry to inform my C4j family that my husband of 41years passed away Feb 14th, 2019. It was a very peaceful passing and he was so ready to be taken away from all the pain and suffering he was in. While my family and I grieve the man I have known most of life, I know he is with our Father and Son. Our two pastors from church talked with him and he told them he was ready to go home. He passed peacefully. I ask you all to please keep the Maskerfamily ion your prayers. He left me, his wife Gladys, a son and daughter, 3 granddaughters and his father. A week before his death, he lost his cousin to cancer. It has been a hard two weeks as some of the family could not be here as his 89-year-old father is not doing too well either. My husband's service was today and it was beautiful. Thank you for your prayers and kind words as I struggled through so much. God bless you all.
Sorry about your husband. May God bless you and your memories be happy ones.

I just saw this post, which is now over a year old, but I suspect you are still making some emotional adjustments. I am so glad you have had the support you needed, Gladys. Your remaining family members are a treasure to carry on your husband's legacy, and you'll always be together. My father passed in 2001, and I still see him in my dreams. My mother passed in 2009. Today would have been her 100th birthday. I hope you are content and doing well.

Thank you vmarie my Dear. I am doing one day at a time. There are times I feel like I can't go any further but I am going one step at a time. My youngest son also passed in 2009. I have one son, one daughter, and 2 sisters that I am in contact with. I don't speak to my 2 brothers. I did get a therapy dog. His name is Chip and he is a 2-year-old beagle rescue. I finished school and will graduate this year. Been a long and rough year. Happy100th heAVENLY birthday to your mom. Mine would have been 92 this year.

You are doing well--one step at a time is perfect. I happen to be living with my two brothers on the family farm at present. I find it best not to say too much. Congratulations on finishing school. I happen to be reapplying to the university I had left without a degree back in the 70s. If the corona virus ever ends, I was thinking it would be good to finish. It's probably the best thing I can do at this time. Keep happy and healthy.

Thank you vmarie. I was thinking of doing courses on religion but decided not to. I couldn't handle the stress again. You could always do online. I hope you do finish as it is such a great feeling of accomplishment.
The description says sunrise, but it could just as easily be a sunset. Sunrises promise the beginning of a new day; whereas, sunsets bring a kind of nostalgia for the day. Yet, the stars of the night enthrall us and have their own magnificence.
We used to rent at Long Beach and could walk to the beach from the house...it was about two blocks away. We fished on the docks but the crabs got all the bait. When we first moved there I could hardly wait to go walking on the beach and I went one morning dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. I was approached four times by men looking for a hooker. (I was young then but I am quite short and by no means "built".) After that I was afraid to go to the beach alone.

I grew up in nearby Quincy. When I was little we used to go to Brockton to the WalkOver Shoe Factory outlet for really good shoes at a discount price. My Mom and Dad would each get a pair.
Years before that my Dad played on the Quincy High Football team that beat powerhouse Brockton 3 to 0.
