Ohhh, want to be transported to that beach. Just turned up my heater to 72 degrees because I'm sitting here at the computer working puzzles, and I'm COLD. : (
Would like to dip my tootsies in that water and then I'd lie down on the beach blanket and read my book and work on a tan. Yeah, right...dream on Micki.
Always loved going to the So. Calif. beaches. Haven't been in years though. You'd have to pay me a lot of bucks to get in a bathing suit now, and no one's get that much money to waste!!!
When I was stationed at Pendleton, we often went to a beach in Carlsbad.

Thank you for serving our country, Marine5153. It takes a special type of person to be willing to go where they are told to go and do what they are told to do for the good of the nation.
Where in England are you from sisgp? Did y'all have snow there? (Or does all of England get snow? )

I'm originally from Rutland in central; England, but these days I live in New Jersey, 30 minutes west of New York. The two places often have similar weather, just the temps are a little lower here in NJ in the winter with more snow. The UK got more snow when I was a kid 1000 years ago LOL. Generally though the weather most come from the north to get snow rather than the Atlantic.

I had a note that you were originally from England but now living in NJ. Was wondering about the weather differences. Thanks.
