Since a fellow puzzler set me straight on the fact that the little fishes are beads and not buttons, I can now see that the string would go from the mouth through the tail. Not into arts and crafts so not up on these things. Duh.
I think you 're right. Most of the stuff in the photo is beads not buttons

I thought the same thing at first but then I can see what are clearly plain old beads in the mix and if you look closely, there seems to be a hole in the mouth of the fish so it probably strings lengthwise. Also I used to make bracelets for my students in grammar school and havebought beads like those hearts. It isn't really an issue since it really could be either way. The puzzle was fun and I plan to do it again soon.

Dbnc2 if you see this I haven't been on here in months and just got back on a couple days ago to where I had left off which was back in December and I am just finishing January 1st puzzle and comments so it will take awhile to get up to March.
I have had more dental problems and nothing solved yet and it has taken a toll on me but I am determined to get caught up on puzzles and comments. I may have to go to March to leave a comment so other puzzlers know I am around till I get caught up. Thanks for caring!
