My cat would think that tree was heaven sent. She never tries to catch the birds, but loves to watch them like a mighty hunter.

I wonder how many houses are occupied? I has a birdhouse hanging from my tree for a year, and nary a bird inhabited it. So sad.

Do that many birds take up residence in so many bird houses? I believe that females use these to house their young until they can be able to fly away from the nest and find food. A bird seems to come back to her nest each year and rebuilds her nest and lays her eggs under our roof. She, and her mate will fight off any intruders during the young one.s raising.
