Looks as if it would match up the arched gate a few days ago.
"Nothing is more memorable than a smell. One scent can be unexpected, momentary and fleeting, yet conjure up a childhood summer beside a lake in the mountains." Diane Ackerman
Winter for some and summer for us and quite warm. Good night and God bless.
So right about the smell. We were dumping things form my Mom's medicine cabinet when she moved and found a bottle of Fitch's Rose Hair Oil. My dad used to use it. One whiff brought him back to me...no wonder Mom kept it.

Aknan,
I still have my son's Axe shampoo from six years ago. I cannot bring myself to get rid of even though I cannot stand the smell of Axe. It just reminds me of him so much. My husband keeps teasing me that he is going to toss it away. I told him if he did that, then I am going to toss him. I have Jake's leather wallet also even though it s falling apart. These things remind of a time when my boy was still here. It is good to hang on some things just like Old Spice reminds me of my dad.

Mamag, Old Spice was what my dad used too! I don't think there was anything else available back then. Now the shelves are full of men's colognes. Once, many years after my dad had died, my sister and I saw an Old Spice display and talked about how we were both missing him. What we did was...bought some of the spray deodorant, and sprayed it all over the house! lol We never used it again, but it was so nice to have dad close, even for a bit. I understand you holding on to some things.

My husband tells me the same thing. I can't get rid of anything that has to do with Jake, my son. I have a Harley jacket his dad bought for him when he was about 13 or 14. He passed away when he was 21 and that was 8 years ago. I still wear that jacket even though it showing signs of some wear. And I still have his shampoo, but don't tell my husband. SSSHHHH!!! LOL.
