Now this is one that actually makes more sense as a thumbnail. I enjoyed all the wild colors.
More than half the leaves were blown off the trees during the Halloween storm. A few trees are still holding onto their greens, but most have turned yellow or brown by now. The pretty reds are about gone escept for the euonymous bushes. We had our first frost last night. One rose is still blooming in my front yard. The few buds probably won't end up flowering. It's supposed to continue chilly all week. Once a rose bloomed at Thanksgiving. We must have had a lot of sun that year. I was in front of the south facing wall of our house. That rosebush is gone now.
Don't overdo the raking. Take it in short bursts. The leaves will still be there tomorrow.
A friend of mine who now lives in the USA said the season should not be called FALL but rather RAKE as that is all they are doing now lol. Hugs Pixi.

Hi Aussie. Do you get much leaf fall in Australia? You're a beach baby so do you have palm trees?
We just got back from Sarasota Florida. I really enjoyed all the palms and tropical plants there.
Hugs back at ya.

If you google bribie island images, you will see lots of pictures of where I live. Lots of palm trees but none in my yard, just two next door which are a pain in the proverbial as they drop their enormous fronds into my yard, but have an arrangement with the new owners to pop them back over the fence as I cannot cut them up to fit them in my bind. My neighbours across the road had many of them, but the new owner has cut them all down. They do look nice and tropical but have their nuisance value. Southern part of Australia has a fall season but too hot up here. Hugs.

It's really quite beautiful, pixi. Would love to visit there and meet aussie in person! Not likely to happen, however, but I can dream...

That view across to the mountains from Banksia Beach is really pretty. That's certainly a very populated island. Reminds me of Florida which is kind of a no brainer statement. Love the color of the water and how clear it is. I don't expect to ever get to ustralia or to my friend in New Zealand who is now in a healthcare community. She went to the doctor for what she thought would be a routine thing and ended up having her whole life changed. Her home overlooked a harbor.
We rented a place a block from the beach for several years. It was wonderful to go down and walk along it. It wasn't nearly as pretty as your beaches tho.

Thanks Pixi, I am a bit of an armchair traveler these days. Just enjoy what I find on here and pictures of places I see. Hugs.

I know where you're coming from. I can see that coming my way in the next few years. Thank God for the internet. One of my favorite things is to use youtube to take a hike wher I could never go.
Hugs to you.
