We seldom find large mailboxes on the street corners like we did in the "olden days" any more. When we did, they were either a faded red or brownish/olive green if memory serves me correctly - and I'm not sure it does. I guess they are gone because so many people use the internet or texting instead or writing letters these days. How sad.
If I ever go to Kiev, I now know what mailboxes to look for when I send postcards. When I was able to afford to travel to Europe, I kept sending a friend these postcards that said things like, "Amsterdam at Night" and it was just a black postcard.
That's like a web site about a Civil War era, now unused, train tunnel in a mountainside. It said, "For a picture of the inside of the tunnel click 'here'." Of course I fell for it and it was nothing but a black screen. Got a really good belly laugh at it though.
Easy and fun. We have blue mailboxes everywhere in our town (Grants Pass, Or). Granted a lot of people use the internet these days, but we still need mailboxes and postal service (UPS, Fedex, USPS, etc.), however the cost of stamps is ridiculous. Right?
Good Morning! Where are all you puzzlers? I guess I'm up too early but if you can't sleep you may as well get up. I'll probably make up for it before the day is up. It's not a very pretty day out. Looks like it's going to be a gloomy, gray Monday. My poor baby dog wasn't ready to get up either. He's laying here sound asleep. I like our pretty puzzle we have today. You will too so get up and get busy. God bless every one.
God bless you all.
Wishing all peace and prosperity.
