I like both. Annuals provide a bit of color all season long, while the perennials each put on their own show for a week or two. That way there's always something new to see.
Pretty flower - should attract bees and butterflies to pollinate them - as long as we still have them around. I've read that people are worried about Monarch butterflies' population being down now. We need bees and butterflies - we won't have much food without them.
