Almost the color of my bathroom. It's a bit darker than our bathroom but the same hue. I really had no other choice since the tiling is yellow and black. I at least pulled up the yellow and black floor tiles and put in honey browns and tans that for some reason work. But I had to keep the yellow above the black tiles or rip out everything.

I looked at a really good car one time and the salesman was giving me a GREAT price on it. Trouble was, it was about the color of that door and, no matter how good the price, I didn't think I could face it every morning at 7am.

Had a door slot for mail in Massachusetts because the house was about 200 years old. Loved it. Now have to go out to the end of the driveway--but it's at least not those mail clusters they have now.
Interesting...for some reason this puzzle brings to mind a bus terminal in London, England. You wouldn't see a lot of yellow doors in our neighborhood...but you will see a lot of white and red doors!!!
I just wish I had a mailbox on my property. Our mailbox is two blocks away in a contraption with 50 other mailboxes. I know it's convenient for the postal service but what about the 50 residents?? Okay - through venting :>)
I remember there being a mail slot like that on my parent's door. The mail was delivered conveniently but to send mail you had to walk down to the corner mailbox. Our mailbox is across a busy road with another 8 boxes.
It isn't too far and you can get and send from it but you have to really watch the traffic that comes flying along.

We used to have a mail slot in our old front door but had to get a new door which has no mail slot. Sure would rather have the mail slot than a mailbox (even though our mailbox is just next to the front door on the outside wall).

That's good exercise, though, nmmelody. The townhome complex where I stay has a similar group arrangement, only there are a lot more boxes than 50. When the postal carrier brings you a parcel that doesn't quite fit into your box, he leaves a numbered key in your box so you can unlock the corresponding parcel box. You take your package and leave the key for the carrier, either in the key slot itself or in the outgoing mailbox. It took me awhile to catch onto this. At first I thought the carrier had made some kind of mistake. This happened on two occasions and so I would simply leave the key in the outgoing mailbox. The carrier must have gotten frustrated with me because the next day, I found a parcel on my doorstep (too large a parcel gets left on the doorstep also)! It was a little embarrassing for me when I finally figured out this procedure. Ha! ha!

Not your fault vmarie. They should have left instructions.

Vmarie - that's exactly like ours. There are several stations like ours, up and down the street.
Blue and yellow are such a nice combo. Add a spritz of orange and white and you have perfection.

Don't you love his art? I have prints of his irises and his sunflowers on my wall and two large books about his life and art. He did the only portrait I find exciting. It's the old man in the straw hat.
