BayGrannie what kind of spaniel do you have? I used to have a blonde english cocker spaniel and she was the smartest dog I ever had, we even trained her to climb a ladder. She also had sharp nails. Be safe my puzzling friend.

Speaking of sharp nails ---- my nephew-dog scratched me this morning when I was too slow getting her leash on and she was anxious for a walk. (I'm dog sitting for the week --- and enjoying it.
Earlier I was awakened at 7 by thunder and lightning ---- and 3 seconds later Bailey landed on me. We cuddled through the storm!

There are several things that make so dangerous! Those claws are for one - I'll never forget the day we went horseback riding in Grand Teton National Park. We had just finished lunch. We were drinking soda when we arrived at the stables. A staff member saw us with the soda bottles. She emphasized putting the soda bottles in the trash cans and making sure the lid is secure. Most people think it's no biggie but there it attracts the bears. Yep we listened to this staff member.

Morning All--Maggie the Magnificent is a mixed (up) just joking--mixed spaniel. Someone threw her litter mates in a black bag & left them. Luckily someone was going for a walk & took them to shelter. She is beautiful reddish-brown w/white neck & chest & feet. She runs faster around pool than any other dog I ever had (and jumps higher) than my 3 Great Pyrenees (mountain guard dog) to protect sheep from bears in Pyrenees Mountains on border of Spain & France. My 2 Golden Retrievers (Jack is hanging in there) & they were the smartest & sweetest dogs ever!

Well Carol, that would make me very happy. But for some reason I feel a cocker is more rounded around the head & eyes. What kind of tail do they have. Maggie's is long & kinda drags almost on the ground--her ears--the hair is straight again--almost down to the ground??!!?

Looking for a new job - contacted one company and there requirements are alot - you have to send in your resume and answer questions. 30 yera of experience with typing. Applied for a home typist and wasn't hired - I was bummed! Even told them I really wanted the job!

Cocker Spaniels tails are usually short and bobbed. For me I always train dogs - obedience and housebreaking. I don't know why but according to the Humane Society but the Cocker Spaniel is the #1 dog that bites. To me this just doesn't sound right at all!

Carol--doesn't sound right to me either. All of my dogs had training as well. My next dog neighbor is 6'4" high & highly scared of all my big dogs. As a matter of fact, one day my 2 golden retrievers got out & happily lumbered over to see us. I could see his eyes popping out & simply said "come Sassy & Jack let's go back in the house". They followed me immediately. When I brought Maggie (the mixed spaniel) over to their house to deliver a package, he remarked "that's the kind of dog I could like", his wife from Maine replied "be careful for what you wish" that little one is packed w/power!

Today we took our almost 6 month old Shetlie in to a doggy day care. We had an interview and she was temperment tested. Our other dog Tippy was there as well. When I made the appt. for this pup I was asked have you ever been here. When I mentioned Tippy they looked her up on the computer. We had to leave her there for 3 hours. We pick her up and we were in the lobby area. There was a big dog that came out - it looked like a great dane. He rushes over to our pup. The man that picked that dog up could hardly control it. He then apologizes to me. The dog was black and white and said he was rhodesian ridgeback. That breed is usually brown. Another owner comes in a mentions to me about the Labrodoodle she said the man that started that hybrid stated he wish he hadn't. Then this woman was saying omg! I noticed all the Giant Schnauzers (this woman owned one) are suppose to be black and now their white.

Seriously, however in the world did you find quotes about Yogi Bear & Boo-Boo? Have yourself a beary good night. Sleep well & blessings in your dreams

Aussie wonderful jokes this morning. I used to call my son Boo-Boo when he was a baby. I had no idea there were only eight living species, just thought there were more. I get a wonderful education on here with everyones input about things. We have bears close around us. One was hit and killed by a logging truck just about 100ft. down the road. Be safe my friend hope to be able to sit more than 45 minutes soon so I can write you properly.

Aussie you must have ESP 'cause I ordered some Hanna Barbera "Yogi Bear" cartoons on DVD this week and picked up the package 1/2 an hour ago from the post office. When I log off I will treat myself to watching them. Hey, hey, hey, I smell a pick-a-nick basket Boo-Boo!

Hi darambo, turned out I took everythink for my "coffee" break except the COFFEE!! And then I remembered half way there that I should have called to see if I had any bookings for the computer tutoring, so had to leave much earlier than I was anticipating.
