Very colorful and took a long time to do. I cannot get the puzzle to fit like it used to. I have tried zooming in and out, that is not working. I continue to "play" with it. Just found out our 12 year old Yorkie, Frodo, has bladder stones and kidney stones and has to have surgery to get them out.....I almost cried. Keep sending good thoughts and may your day be a lot more cheerful than mine. Blessings to all.
Sorry about your pup, nborchardt. Can't they use sound to blast them? I'm surprised a vet would be willing to operate on a dog that old. When my cat was 13 my vet wouldn't operate to remove a small growth on her lip. Six months later I had to have her euthanized because it kept getting bigger and ulcerated. The vet said she was too old for anesthesia.

Have been in touch with Emma. Sent her shots of each phase of the puzzle. She has been working with her people on it and FINALLY it is working right for me. It's a little different than before, but at least I can do it.Write her about your problem with it.

Here is a link to a vet who gets rid of a pet's kidney stones without an operation. It's called lithotripsy.

You should see if there's a vet near you who does this as your dog is a bit old for an operation. Pardon my pushiness. Your dog. You know best.

Sorry for your troubles nborchardt. Hoping Frodo recovers quickly and you work out your issues with the puzzles. Maybe Emma @ C4J can help you the way she helped elijah13?

That's horrible about your cat, pixi. Back in the 80's cats did poorly with anesthesia, but sometime later it improved greatly for them. I hope 12 is not too old now because mine needs her teeth cleaned and some x-rays, after she recovers from the thyroid treatment. She's somewhere between 12 and 16.

Yes, nborchardt and elijah13...Emma did wonders getting it to work for me! nborchardt, good luck to Frodo!!! Little dogs live a long time so maybe 12 is not so old for him.
It's aways surprising to see how colors react with eachother. The lower right corner of the blue block when separated from the puzzle looks almost grey but not when it's in the puzzle. The reflections of the pink and yellow blocks on the blue cause the color change, which we don't notice when we take in the whole block. Pink and yellow pigment make orange and that is the complement of blue so a mix if perfectly balanced would give black but more often gives brown or grey. The reflections of the yellow and pink are less strong than the blue of the block so you get a greyed down blue.
Wishing you a day of discovery.
I noticed that too, I have never seen pastel coloured lego before.

I agree with you on this. Most days I do the 520 puzzle so I get the exact same pieces every time. the colour that is splashed over those shapes hides them from me. they are almost unrecognizable.
I do find it fascinating how the colour is broken down in these pics. Like you say - if you asked me - I would say that is a blue area bit it is so grray...

Hi lilbc. When I finished HS I wasn't sure what I wanted to be. My parents told me going to college was something I had to pay for myself so I chose school that a regents would pay for and went to FIT in fashion design...It was only 2 years and I realized at graduation being a designer wasn't for me, but in one of my courses a teacher who was dating an artist told us about how he took her to the window and asked her what colors she saw on the side of a brick building. When she gave the usual answer he told her she was missing all the pinks and purples and oranges and should look again. Because of this I started to really look and try to see all the variations in color on anything I saw. The more I looked the more I saw.

That's a wonderful story pixi. My mother taught me how to paint china. She started by asking me to look at a tree outside the window and asked me how many colors I saw in it. Of course, I saw brown, but when I looked a little harder I saw a whole lot of other colors too. She taught me so much about art.

Darski I don't think I've ever even tried the 520 puzzle. Kudos to you!
