Giant barrel cacti dominate the foreground of this online jigsaw puzzle. The prickly round shape is very familiar, but the background is also full of various other cactus species.
Love the quotes! I know too many people who bed down in their cacti and can't figure out why life is so miserable. I feel so sorry for them, but I have learned to keep my mouth closed on my opinions and just share a smile and a positive thought with them. Life is as hard as we see it. And I'm not trying to minimize anyone's trials or heartaches, but getting over them and moving on all depends on who you lean on and how you look at your troubles. Blessings to all,.

It takes a little while to learn that
this world is a shadow of the real,
a good place to be for an education
but not where one should live.....
The beginning of a poem by Roger White entitled "A Distant Laughter". Depression and despair, however, afflict many, and we cannot judge unless we are able to walk a mile or more in their shoes. Some, and I know because I'm one, have no family members to lean on and few friends who don't have major problems of their own. I've run the gamut of emotions in the situation I now find myself and empathize with those who find it hard to cope.
I'd love to visit this garden. I find cacti to be like intricate little sculptures. I have two on my sill that are starting to get too big. I don't know what kind they are but both have yellow flowers. It shows even the prickliest things can have a soft side.
Hoping all you meet show their soft sides today.
As long as you don't fall into them and stay away from the cute teddy bear (cholla) cacti, you will be ok. Cholla can snag you if you're not careful to give them wide berth.
"Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may be given a cactus, but you don't have to sit on it." Joyce Meyer
"Hope is not a resting place but a starting point - a cactus, not a cushion" H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
Good night and God bless. Hugs.
