I believe it's Big Sur - maybe the Bixby bridge area in the background.

This is the Big Sur area. I lived in Salinas, Ca. many years which is a short drive from there. Been on that stretch of Highway 1 numerous times and Peacetoyou you are right it is Bixby Bridge in the background ( you must know the area ). Driven from Oregon border to Mexico on the coast highway ( which is not all on the coast ) and there is no other bridge like that on the whole coast. The whole west coast is beautiful. Left California for Oregon for two reasons, the cost and over population. I am a California native and I really miss it. Have a real problem with people who refer to as Cali!!!!!

I lived in Salinas for 15 months in the early 70s. Loved it. Took my granddaughters down the coast a few years ago. Salinas has really changed and not for the better.
I remember driving on the right hand side of this road--ocean side and being stung by a bee! We had no air conditioning in cars back then--about 1961. Was a beautiful drive. This was the first and last time I have ever been stung by a bee!
