I was on one at Lake Tahoe. I held on tightly and quaked in my boots! I think it was more because it was crowded and I suffered from claustrophobia rather than the height. But maybe a bit of both.
I'd be willing to go one time. But I'll probably staying by the fire enjoying my hot cocoa. Have fun just watching them going up and coming down. Great puzzle.
