Nice ancient building and the field so green and well kept. I would not like to mow this huge lawn. Well folks, sorry I have not been around. Internet Provider had change, had set back with whopping bill and left penniless and not I been told to move out permanently. Have lived in the house for 13 1/2 years and now the place has been condemn and inhabitant. Take care, keep well for it is freezing in Oz. Tia xxxxxxxx
Corrina52, I hope you've been able to get back on your feet and find a satisfactory place to live. My heart went out to you when I read this post. God bless you.
Groundhog Day! No matter if it sees its shadow, we still have six weeks of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Have a great day all! Be safe to those of you who got slammed and will get slammed by the snow. My brother and one of my sisters live in Northern Illinois, they said they got 18 inches. It took my brother 3 hrs to get home from work last night.
I also live in Northern Illinois and have not been out of the house in a few days. Been sick and now with the snow, no way. They don't need me out on the roads.

You are right. Winter will end when it ends. No animal will tell you any different.

I am so thankful my husband is a teacher. Schools are closed today. I'm glad your husband got home safely. If things keep going we should have a foot or more before it stops here in NY.
Where we live we can still get a blizzard in mid April. That would make 10 more weeks of winter. UGH.

I live in Georgia and we are supposed to have a temp of 21 deg. tonight. We usually have a week or 2 of winter, guess it starts tonight. I really dislike cold weather but at least the sun shines most of the time.

Jldenney, that is one thing I like when the weather is really cold, is to see bright sunshine. It doesn't warm things but it really does make you feel good. Here in Cincinnati, OH it's going to be bitter cold this week (it started yesterday) and it's supposed to snow mainly just south of here but we have bright sunshine this morning ahead of the snow system headed here for tomorrow.

Hi Judy
I'm in NY near Albany and it was 8 degrees this morning and another 8 inches of snow had fallen overnight. It's still falling and the wind has started gusting. We get as much precip and cloudy weather here as Seattle, WA but also the cold. BBRRRR. Are you anywhre near those red cliffs in NW Georgia?

Me too KNadine. That sunshine does wonders and it does help heat the living room because I have a bay window. :-) I think it's the colors it brings out in everything. My husband and I always marvel at teh difference between going for a drive when it's sunny and taking the same drive on a grey day.

You're right. When the sun hits the windows, it does help to heat you inside your home.
I like doing them
I gotta get up and get to doing something in this house
