Huge hotel. Looks like a fun place to stay. Old hotels that are well kept up are the best. Usually the restaurants, bars, and entertainment are top notch.
Beautiful building. Some of the brick work and the gables reminds me of my high school. It was built in 1906 and is still in use today. The high school and many buildings in the town were built and donated by a man in Standard Oil. It was 2 1/2 stories high.
The Chateau is an imposing presence overlooking the St. Lawrence on one side and the city on the other. I haven't stayed there but had breakfast on the patio overlooking the river. Nice.
This hotel looks very very familiar to me. I even looked up the old Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs, CO, to see if it is some memory from my childhood. NOPE. The two are not similar at all! Well, heck. Do you suppose it is some kind of deja vu? I know I've never seen this one (in this lifetime). I've never even been to Quebec.
