I am planning on a cherry pie for desert on the 4th of July, After corn on the cob, Ribs and steak and of course, potato salad. Happy independence day everyone

I've done it, but only as a garnish right before serving. Don't think I'd care for fresh cherries scattered across my slice of pie, especially since they still have stems on and probably pits inside. You could easily chip a tooth!
