I love the "wisdom" quote. You know, they say that wisdom comes with age......I think I got stepped over! Yes, I did the email and am answering it shortly! Blessings!

Blessedly, the fires are heading away from us but unfortunately, into other populated areas. They have opened roads that have been closed since the beginning. They have been able to lead a big piece of our fires into the national forests. There are no roads in there so the fires will have to be contained within forest lands to burn themselves out. Some are saying that if they had not stopped doing controlled burns to keep the brush down we would not be having this problem now but I don't know While they are getting more and more containment, they are saying they don't expect to have it controlled until Sept. 1. That's only our fires right here. Don't know about the many others around the state and around the country. Appreciate all the prayers very much.

Looking much better today. Lots of repopulation, roads opening. More containment. One of the ffires has reached 78% containment while the other has gone back down to only 20%. Many thanks for your prayers and a big thank you to New Zealand who has sent firefighters here to help us. It sure makes the world seem smaller when we all come together to work to alleviate one anothers problems. If I had a car I could drive about 10 minutes and thank Australia and New Zealand myself! I never thought my little community would garner so much world-wide attention! The last time we had this much attention I think was with the kidnapping of Polly Klaas.

Thank God things are looking up. Prayers will continue for everyone's safety. Blessings.
