Nice to be back, been fighting with my computer for almost two days. Browsers wouldn't 'recognize' this website. Kept telling me it was an invalid link...the same one I've been using for over 4 years! Argghh, technology! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
Wishing you a wonderful day and, perhaps, a new computer?

Thanks nlbuchanan, but unless Santa has one under the tree, it's not going to happen for a very long time!

Nlb, just thought I'd let you know, Santa didn't bring me a new computer...so this one has to keep trudging along!

Maybe you can get it cleaned. I'd have a shop do it for me--there are lots of free programs on the web that claim to clean up the hard drive but who knows if you can trust them. if you go to a shop they are more likely to be trustworthy I think. Once I was having trouble and it was from all the excess old email and searches still imbedded in my memory.

I'm sorry. I tried putting in a good word for you, but he just wouldn't listen. Somebody else needed worse than you. nlb

You're right nlb, there are a lot of people needier than I. And I am grateful that all my needs are met.
Pixipixil, that's on my list of wants when I get some bills paid off and have a few 'extras'.

Spectrum just bought out BrightHouse and I have had a few problems. My nephew will be here for Christmas so maybe he can straighten it out. A few years back he worked for Google (something to do with internet). Now he is famous. Just had his spacesuit put in the Smithsonian on Friday.

Wow. It does seem to take an astronaut or so to wade through all the computer glitches that affect us oldies. Congratulations to your nephew--that is if he can fix your computer(lol)

Yeah - I recall having that happened to me. My favorite sites - I bookmark them. Then just click on the icon and it goes to the site.

Still getting used to Google bookmarks. Need to put them in folders. Have some, but still a ways to go. I have my surveys in IE and hate it. Am trying to get them all over to Google. Not an easy chore since they really don't tell you how to do it.
Many years ago I was expecting TWINS on Christmas Day; thankfully, they arrived 2 weeks early, healthy, and increased our kids from 4 to 6, all under the age of 7! It was a very busy but exciting Christmas and, thankfully, they are all still with me. Sadly, my dear sweetheart is not, but I'm sure he is watching over us.
I had always wanted twins. We could not have kids and now with how things turned out I wonder if we should have been content without any.
I am happy for you that you have the children with you. Give them a hug from your puzzler friend.

"Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us -- a time when we can look back on the year that has passed and prepare for the year ahead." -- David Cameron
"The supernatural birth of Christ, his miracles, his resurrection and ascension, remain eternal truths, whatever doubts may be cast on their reality as historical facts." David Friedrich Strauss
And the same to you aussie. Sleep well and warm - or cool is probably more apt for you. God bless you as we lift our hearts in praise and celebration of His mercy to us. nlb
