I think that if I could be in near mountains, I wouldn't be doing anything all day except watch them all day to not miss how they change their beauty in every hour of the day. May you see today what raises your spirit. May each one of you be able to have your day blessed with what your soul needs.
I am surrounded - mountains on one side, water on the other. God has gifted me with glorious sunrises that explode with amazing colors over the mountains and breath-taking sunsets that color the water beneath them.

I am jealous! Sounds like the perfect place to live.

Well, nhoward, the trade-off is 8 months of winter; 1 month freeze-up; 1 month breakup; 1 month combined spring/summer and the rest is fall and the rainy season. And I love living in Anchorage, AK. I must be nuts!

Or you were very lucky to find the perfect spot that works for you. Now me, I have NO USE for snow or ice. My problem, I know! Have a great day!

Aknan--is that a contraction of Alaska Nancy? I don't like the cold. My brother took a cruise to Alaska and wants to go back by land. I neither want a cruise nor Alaska but the Canadian Rockies were very pretty when we visited in July.
For seven years we lived in the Catskills which technically aren't mountains but we were bordering a river and I loved it eventhough it got to -40 one February. Every season was beautiful.
Here in the Hudson valley winters aren't so cold or long but they are still too long for me.
Now I want shorter winters but would still like the mountains and much more sun than we get here.
The other thing is how short the winter days are in AK. Is the sky clear and so star studded that you don't go crazy from the dark? I'd like to see the aurora and the Milky Way. Are they a common occurence where you live?

Aknan is a contraction of AK and Nancy - also the only thing I could think of as a screen name that I could remember!
Our short winter days can be so bright and sunny that the mountains seem etched across a deep blue sky or they can be overcast and gloomy. Never do we have 24 hrs of dark here in the southern part of AK - that's really way up north, past the North Pole. Nights mirror the days - clear with stars (I've actually read directions for something or another under starlight/moonlight) and if we're lucky and away from the Anchorage lights, the aurora plays in all its beauty across the sky. You'd be better off seeing the Milky Way in the lower 48, especially across the desert southwest. They even have places desinated as "Dark Sky" just for this purpose.
I find beauty wherever I live - from Arkansas to Arizona to Oklahoma to Maryland to New Mexico, all over Europe, Missouri, Colorado, Wyoming to Alaska. Makes me tired just listing all of those places and I know I've forgotten a couple!
Take care, pixi. PS - our scenery here in AK is what you saw in the Canadian Rockies on steriods!

Hi aknan. You sound truly in love with your state. At Death Valley I hsd hoped to see the Milky Way but there was a full moon so bright hardly any stars were visible and it was casting moonshadows on all of us who stayed to see it. Having witnessed that I can believe you about reading by the light of the moon.

I was in Alaska for 3 months many years ago from the end of July through early October. The temperatures were in the 70's and the scenery beautiful.
Beautiful, calming effect. Have an appointment to have my toenails cut, then grocery store and home for rest of day. Trying to get things cleaned out, etc. You don't realize how much useless stuff you have until you start cleaning it out!
Have a great day. Of course I talk to myself. Sometimes I need expert advice.
Elijah13, I have a tee shirt that says that same thing and when I wear it, people seem to keep their distance!! Love that shirt!!! Have a great day, my friend.

I think I cut that out of a catalog. I cut things out of what I read that I think are cute. Then I can share them and hopefully make someone laugh or think--or something! Hope your day is going great. I am exhausted so will hit the bed early!
Beautiful jigsaw picture.
Can't understand why pieces won't let go of mouse, OR
picture continues to jump around. Does anybody else have this problem or is it just my internet connection all the time. Jumping up and down picture makes it difficult to play. Thank you for puzzle this morning.
I just have a key pad, so, yes, I have similar problems. It's static electricity. Very touchy and sensitive.

I get the thing where my mouse won't let go of the pieces. The only way I can get it to stop is to click outside of the puzzle box. I play on a computer, so I have wide margins around the Crazy4jigsaws game and that is where I have to click to get my mouse to work correctly again. It is very frustrating as you already know.
I don't have the jumping picture problem, so I can't help you there. Have a good day!
