Free online jigsaw puzzle of a close up of a white clock face with black numbers. The smaller numbers are part of a twenty-four hour system of keeping time popularly referred to as military time.
I once found a broken clock. It had no face and the back was off. I had lots of fun playing with the gears and taking it apart. I wonder if mechanical watches are still made.
Hoping we can all hold onto the old things we love without failing to embrace the good that's new.
I bought an antique pendulum clock case - the workings had broken down beyond repair - fixed it with glass shelves and mounted it where I display the little things that my kids made for me when they were very little.

I looked online and there are palces still making men's mechanical watches. I didn't see any for women.
I bet that clock/shelves is really pretty, trynfindit.
Love clocks, have quite a collection of them in my home.
Of all days, the day on which one has not laughed is the one most surely wasted. — Sebastien Roch
On average, an infant laughs nearly two hundred times a day; an adult, only twelve. Maybe they are laughing so much because they are looking at us. To be able to preserve joyousness of heart and yet to be concerned in thought: in this way we can determine good fortune and misfortune on earth, and bring to perfection everything on earth. — I Ching
I like the Roch quote, aussie. I know it's silly, but when I read the paper, I always start with the comics. That way, I'm at least guaranteed a smile for the day!

My husband has a small grandfather clock has the best "bong" on the hour and half hour. It is an antique and adds a lot of character to the house. Love the quotes, aussie. You always seem to post quotes that I need to read for that day. Blessings to you and all the Puzzlers!!

Aknan - that's why I love Facebook and all the funny antics cats and dogs get up to. That always starts my day with a smile. Hugs

Hi nborchardt - When I lived in Shreveport, Louisiana many moons ago, I worked with a woman whose husband used to be in he airforce and they lived in Germany for a while and they and another couple went into East Germany and brought out 40 antique clocks. They fixed them up and sold most of them but when I knew her she had 14 of them left including one huge grandfather clock which had to be dismantled to get it in the house. She was the one who piqued my interest in clocks. Sadly a few years ago she got dementia and is no longer with us. Hugs n.
