Temperature spiked to 101.6 yesterday. Too sick to even turn the computer on. Was sick Friday, better Saturday, very sick Sunday, somewhat better today. I'm afraid to eat much.
Hope you are all doing well today.
Hope you get to feeling better soon pixi. Eating dry toast or crackers and ginger ale may help with the upset stomach.

Are you trying the BRAT diet, pixi? It's Bread (toasted, no butter is recommended), Rice (to help stop diarrhea), Applesauce and Tea, either hot or iced. It's quite bland and can help with tummy problems, even for babies.

Thank you aknan, mamag and dbnc. I'm pretty much back to tea and toast plus wonton soup, dry rice chex and soft boiled egg. I must remember to leave out a half cup of tonic water. The quinine does wonders but I have to let the soda go flat. I can't figure why doctors son, t give penicillin shots any more. Instead you get stuck with taking drugs that ruin your digestion. Even a sepository would be better for treatment.

Not 100% yet but no fever at all and w/o meds. I have to start eating more normally and see what happens. I'm down to 98 lbs. Thanks for those prayers. I really appreciate them.

Saw nurse practitioner today--doctor away until May. Part of prayers answered as she has ordered the tests my brother told me to ask for. Thank you, all. Keep praying, please. The fat lady hasn't sung yet. Supposed to be done sometime tomorrow. Will tell you what they find. (Nothing serious I hope! )

I pray that the NP can find and cure your stomach problems.

Happily it's nothing new--diverticulitis again. So far no blockages. I'm on an antibiotic. Just send up one more prayer, please, that this stuff kills the infection for good without making me sicker in the process. The last time I had this, the medicine I got made food almost impossible to choke down.
This time I have something different.
Thank you so much for all your prayers. I am sure I got the help I needed because of them.

So far so good. No stomach upset. Several cramp-free days now and my appetite is coming back. I'm half way through the pills and feeling much better. Thank you so much everyone.I notice you all have your St. Patty's day icons. I better put on my Irish, too.

Finished the meds yesterday and feeling good. Only thing to go wrong now would be a recurrence.
I sure hope not because I want to get this medicine for any future attacks. I had no bad reactions from it.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. God has said "yes" to them all.
Not my favorite kind of sandwich. Getting some of my affairs in order. The hardest part is eliminating my husband from everything. It seems as though he never existed. Taking his name off of bills, closing any accounts, and just starting over with me seems so cold and cruel.
Mamag, it's a difficult step, but a necessary one to protect yourself from identity theft or the unauthorized use of his name. (As an old banker, I've seen that happen.) Hugs.

Don't let anyone "help" you or pressure you into getting rid of his personal items until you're ready. You will do that when you are ready and no one else can know that time table. Hugs.

Thank you Karen. I am not ready to get ready for that yet.
Oh that really looks yummy, but I think I could only eat half of it as it looks quite filling. Now after seeing that puzzle I'm feeling hungry. It has been snowing here for 3 straight days pretty much nonstop and according to the winter storm warning we're under, it's not supposed to stop for another 3 days. By then we will have so much won't know where we're going to shovel it to so we can get out of the driveway. My husband and son are going to have to shovel the snow off the roof today. Hope all of you have better weather, take care and be safe.
Hope you are all doing well today.
