While doing this thought of something I learned from Facebook. Keep a mug with some water in it in your freezer. When frozen, place a quarter--or a coin on top of the frozen water. If something goes wrong with your freezer--vacation or not--you will know whether your food has completely spoiled or if still some ice in it--maybe you can save some. Puzzle not hard to do.
Interesting coin collection - I wish it was easier to make the coins out - the only coins I could make out were the 2-tone coin (1 Euro) and the orange-ish coin next to it, 1 German pfennig (I'm assuming that was before the common currency).
