These balls are also known as 'Hacky Sacks'. They are filled with sand or polystyrene beads and are played by one or more players by keeping the sack off the ground without using their hands, rather like soccer moves.Very skillful. Great puzzle, thanks.

We use these as toys for our cats and kittens at our shelter. They love to carry them around in their mouths and are very possessive of them!

I was going to say the same thing. I worked at a rehab and the young native men would play this. Fun to watch!
