Wow! So much more time consuming than I thought this would be! So glad to see I'm not the only one with a lot of time to complete - if I get to complete it that is. lol
I visited my sister today whose daughter, son, and daughter-in-law were there with their five children. Oldest one is nine and the youngest is abut 18 months. I had my hearing aids on when I got there, but had to take them out in about half an hour. WOW how cans such small people make such loud noises!!!!!
Early to bed tonight - think I am getting old lol. God bless all of you and hugs.
I understand what you're saying. I went to a bar to see a photo collection that my niece put together for sale. I NEVER go to bars any more. It was so noisy I thought my head was going to explode. They weren't little kids, but it was still way too noisy for me.

I find noise affects me more as I age (gulp! ) and children's voices are especially piercing. Don't care for noisy restaurants, rarely go to bars - maybe once a year - and really prefer being in quiet places where you can hear yourself think!

All so true aknan and lilbc. Perhaps ear muffs would be in order for the next visit lol. Do you think anyone would notice hahahaha? Hugs.

I agree with all of you. Some people say "speak up so I can hear you". I say "please speak more quietly so I can hear you". Especially the half-brother of my great-granddaughter. He yelled at the top of his lungs when I was two feet in front of him and I still have good hearing.

My nephew has a good phrase that gets immediate results - "Indoor voice, please." Try that next time.
And aussie, try the pliable ear plugs for the next visit. They cut a lot of noise - we even wear them at the movies!

His mother was standing right next to him and does not like others "interfering" in her parenting. I have used that phrase many times in other situations. Good advice and I thank you for it.

Some parents need refresher courses!

She needs to take the course for the first time. In all fairness, her parents did not teach her anything good about parenting. She and her older sister both ended up in foster care as young teens.

That's tough. Doesn't sound like she can learn from examples, either. Let's send up a prayer for her.

I do, but not as often as I should. My g-g-d's father is a hopeless case also. He was in the military when she was born and not living with the mom. They divorced soon after. He lives in Texas with his new family (wife and another child) and seldom calls, writes, sends cards or gifts when appropriate or has any contact at all. She is 8 years old and says she doesn't know him and doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Just too sad. God bless you and thanks for listening.

Nlb - aknan is not only a good listener, she is a very wise woman. Hugs to both of you.

Thank you, aussie, for the nice compliment. Some days, it's actually true!

Yes, aussie, I have found that to be very true of aknan - both a good listener and a wise woman. And an outstanding "foul weather friend" as described in a poem I shared sometime back.
God bless you both.

Both of you bring true joy into my life. Thank you!
It looks like there is a new category? called "renderings"? When I finish the puzzle and go "back to gallery" it shows only one picture in this new category......pretty cool.
Optical illusion?
