I always used a tan or brown eye shadow that I smudged. Then mascara, bit of blush and out the door. Nowadays, don't even bother. They can take me as I am. When I was a teen, my mother paid for me to have a glamour shot done. I still have the mini photos they gave out. All I could say after seeing that was...wow! Didn't even look like me.
I've never used eye shadow and wouldn't know where or what color to use. Makeup, eyebrow pencil and lipstick, and I am ready to go. Takes me 10 min. and I'm out the door. A professional made me up one time for a glamour shot, and when I looked in the mirror....Wow!
What a lovely palette of colors. I never was one to wear a lot of eye shadow - never got the hang of getting it on just right. Don't wear any at all now. How could I ever have thought that I could improve on God's artistry in His creation of me? It just can't be done. I just have to look for the beauty that He put in me - mostly in my heart.
That's quite a few different eye shadow colors. Much more than the late, great David Bowie ever used in the 1970's. That's probably a professional makeup artist's set.
The one makeup tip I can give regarding this eye shadow set, pick a color that's slightly darker than your normal eyebrows, apply a drop or two of water on that eye shadow color, then take the angled tipped brush to apply the moistened eye shadow to your eye brows and lightly apply from the inner part of your brow and gently stroke towards the outer end of your eyebrow. That helps make your eyebrows more noticeable. The one lesson I received after getting my brows waxed at a fairly pricey salon.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I sometimes think it is in the hand that holds the paint brushes etc lol.
"I was born in London, and went to school in Scotland - I used to be dead tired when I got home at night."
"Such is life and life is such and after all it isn't much. First a cradle. Then a hearse. It might have been better, but it could have been worse."
Both of these quotes are from Norman Wisdom. I know my UK friends will know who he is, and for those who don't I think he was one of the funniest men who ever lived. Only 157 cms tall, but just to see him on screen made me laugh. The world lost a wonderful talent when he passed away.
I know who you are talking about, I too thought he was so funny and very talented. On one of my visits back home to England we were looking up family of my husbands and a relation of his was married to a chap who could have been Norman Wisdom double, he also had a sense of humour and we got on really well.
God bless you all.

Take care and God bless. Hugs.
