Toucans are members of the Neotropical near passerine bird family Ramphastidae. Toucans are arboreal and typically lay 2–21 white eggs in their nests. They make their nests in tree hollows and holes excavated by other animals such as woodpeckers—the toucan bill has very limited use as an excavation tool.
I know it is silly, but when I see a toucan I think of the breakfast cereal froot loops. It is a very lovely and exotic bird despite what goes on in my mind! LOL!
That bird nose how to pose. He looks hefty enough to haul that beak but what about newborns? Anyway they should have no trouble pecking out of their shells. Very beak-coming bird.

Ah - a Pixi-pun! Like it :-)) I saw a news item the other day about a Toucan whose beak was badly damaged (can't remember how). Anyway, there was a photo of him eating with his new prosthetic beak. How cool is that!!
