Looks similar to a basket of yarn I have underneath my end table in the living room. Thought my two kitties would attack it, but so far they just don't want to expend the effort, I guess. So lazy...those two. Eat, sleep, poop. That's their M.O.
If you roll up a small yarn ball, meanwhile lacing it with aromatic catnip as it is rolled, most cats will be maniacally rolling around the floor with the offending spherical object. It may cause a little mess, but the results are entertaining.

Nice idea, but wouldn't like the mess on my carpet. Anyway, they do have one or two favorites from the pet shop. One is a long fabric piece of felt on a wand that I drape over a door knob in the living room. Many mornings I get up to see it lying in the hallway. The little scamps! They also like a catnip infused carrot and a toy called "Big Ol Catnip Bag". So I'm ashamed I called my little girls lazy. Sorry my babies, I stand corrected.
Sock yarns, fingering weight. Lovely colours! And a fun puzzle. Just finished a wrap that looks good. Two different purples and a couple of patterns in it. Used acrylic yarn so can't block it. It came out smaller so it'll be a scarf instead of a wrap.
