What strikes me as odd is the strange plant so close to the stove. Seems like that wouldn't be such a good spot for it.

It's pretty far from the window, too. My guess is, it's plastic.

I think you might be right about that.

It was harder than I thought. Older kitchen. I like the challenge of a lot of objects and colors to work with.

In my opinion, this looks like a kitchen from the 80's. It was a somewhat difficult puzzle for me, as it took almost an hour to complete, but I did like the color and theme.

Let us know how the crust worked out --- and how to do it. I'm thinking it is raw potato grated over the pot pie. Any seasoning?

Hi Jamp & Nborchardt. The pie came out pretty good. I liked the crust and my husband liked the pie also. You grate 2 cups of raw potatoes and one fourth cup (I used half a medium one) onion. You whisk a raw egg in a bowl and add those two ingredients. It calls for salt and I did sprinkle some and some pepper but not a lot as my husband can't have much salt. I also put in some grated cheddar--not much maybe a fourth or fifth of one of those 50% less fat brick types. You mix it together and press it into a 9" pie pan that has been liberally oiled. Bake the empty shell for a half hour at 400. The filling was partly cooked. I bought a gravy package for it and followed the directions--mix it with water, sauteed half a chopped onion and a cubed white potato. Once the potato was soft, added the gravy mix and frozen peas, frozen green beans some cooked leftover sweet potato and fresh sliced carrots. Cooked the filled pie another hour at 375. The carrots didn't soften quite enough for my taste. I didn't put any crust on top.
I'd advise trying to put something on top--maybe some sweet potato slices dotted with butter. If I do it again I'll try that.

Yes, thank you for the recipe. It does sound good. With all this sheltering at home, I'm always happy to find something new to try for supper.

You are both quite welcome. I am not a big fan of cooking but sometimes I am so tired of the same old thing I am willing to put in some effort.
