During the Great Depression and World War II, people would send dimes to President Franklin D. Roosevelt at the White House as part of the "March of Dimes" in order to find a cure for Infantile Paralysis (Polio). Envelopes could poorly addressed or without a stamp and make it to the White House.
I have a Chambord liqueur bottle, shape like a Russian inspires Faberge bottle, the neck is just big enough for dimes, I am saving them up for a special something for my fella, the bottle holds exactly 100.00$, right up to the lip of the neck. I won't count it because I don't want to be disappointed if not as much as I thought.
