I see I did this over a year ago I wish I could make something that handsome. It's very hard to make clay that neat. I have a few large, glazed vases nd I treasure them.
Makes me want to get back to my pottery. I haven't done any in over a year. I see the discussion about wine. These pots don't look glazed. It looks like they were allowed to dry to leather hard then carved nd finally fired to visque. Liquid leaks from that. I had a little vase made of it and it leaked.
I wonder what some of these containers are used for, especially the large container that seems to not have solid sides. It would have to be for keeping something that's rather large.
I think wine would pour out the sides of the large one with holes in the sides that JamieT was referring to. The others could be used for wine, olive or other precious oils or any other such thing.

Oh yeah, Jamie did say the one that does not have solid walls. Hmmm...giant incense burner? Laundry sounds good to me though. :)

Yes, wine would pour out the sides of that container, unless it was very, very thick.
It would have to be something relatively large and probably something that doesn't move too much. Maybe it's just decorative.
