These biscuits look delicious. Sometimes when I make biscuits I add shredded cheddar cheese to them. And after they are baked I drizzle melted butter and garlic over them. Yummy!
I think that since seeing this I need to knit or crochet a bread basket "blanket". It should be big enough to also cover over the top to keep biscuits or garlic bread--or whatever--warm. I think I have some white cotton yarn stashed away that would be perfect. Cotton would launder well.
Add some tea to the water and pre-wash on hot!. That way it won't shrink after you've finished it. Also the off white color it picks up from the tea makes a safe dye & it will not show any stains as bad from the oils, or butter.
Hockeyfan-pasted it to this one too! In case you don't find it....You said yours was acting up and I thought you might have to either get it fixed or new one, we still need a new one for one of us, but are putting it off, hubby is just fine with his '89 one it can only do one thing (very old quicken prgm.) and is not online, and it helps when my son is my repair person, just have to get him home long enough to check it out and clean it up. Sure glad to have you back...I think things are finally slowing down here, all are just about to start school again and hubby's eye is still doing fine, don't have to go back until Oct. Got a new memory gel foam pad for our bed, really helps out. Don't want to get new box spring & mattress until we can move the bedroom downstairs and need to move things & people around or out. What did you get & are you getting along with it yet! It always takes me time to get use to a new one and get everything set up the way I like it?
I love to cook and bake..but never been a biscuit maker..these look like the ones my mother made for strawberry shortcake...oh soooo gooood...take care all
Hi ElaineNH, Love to cook and bake too, making a blueberry coffee cake tonight. Have all the ingredients put together already. Just waiting for the heat to cool down outside before I turn on the oven. Don't want the a/c to overwork. Went outside today, ran right back in. The heat index had to be close to 100 degrees with all that humidity. For strawberry shortcake, I usually make a lemon pound cake, cut thin slices. I macerate the strawberries with a bit of sugar and a fruit liquor and then top the whole shortcake with vanilla whipped cream. Yum! :) Have a great evening. :)
