I'm surprised it's a pear. I didn't think they grew so big. There's something purple blooming on that mid ground hilltop. Could be loosestrife or fireweed.
Love that deep blue sky.

Let's hope it's fireweed. Loosestrife is an invasive plant that's playing havoc along the Alaska roadsides. Hate the stuff!

Yes, I know about that. We have it around here and it's a shame it is invasive because it's pretty. But fireweed is prettier so I hope you're right.

What a wonderful event to celebrate! I was a copper red-head in my youth, and my sister sends me a picture to prove it about every year! lol I hope the freckles pop out just enough to be super cute. Blessings to this little one and family.

Congratulations Fiesty! I have three red-headed grandsons - love them to pieces! the oldest just got married last Sunday! now the new couple is moving into our basement until they can afford to get a place of their own. I don't know if my health can take the stress (the wedding almost killed me) but I wouldn't have it any other way!
