Feel for you - my granddaughter and her baby are near the fires, but OK so far - thoughts and prayers for everyone there

Oh Aussie of course prayers are sent for your daughter. Have the fires spread that far? I heard the estimates for the acreage that has burned and I just can't believe it. I thought our million acre fire was bad, but what your country is going through is unimaginable. How are your grandchildren doing? She must be sick indeed. Please keep us informed when you hear more. Now my friend how are you doing? Please try not to worry about Melody, I know God will watch over her and her family. They will stay in my thoughts, as will you Take care and stay safe

Aussie, this is terrible. I think it was National Geographic that had a wonderful article on the fires with many pictures. I sent it to all my e-mail friends. They couldn't believe how they have spread. I also told them what you had said about the fires. Just try to stay safe. I hope your daughter and husband will find the help that they need. All of Australia is in my prayers, your family included.

It's good there are prayers for the animals. I was shocked to see how many died. You'd better include the trees. Without them nothing will come back.

I have seen some posts on facebook showing the burnt areas with new vegetation coming up. Similar to USA forest fires. Our pine trees need fire/heat to have the seeds come out of the cones.

Hi pixi, apparently some of the burnt trees are already producing new growth. Amazing stuff. Fires still burning out of control, but I think the focus now has turned to the middle east and what is happening there. Hugs.

Today--good news. Iran admitted they shot down the plane. I am so relieved they stopped saying it was a CIA plot.
One can't help but wonder that they would think themselves capable of handling nukes.

Certainly will pray for all of you, and all the Australian people. What an awful situation. Praying for the fire fighters, rescuers, and medical responders, too. And for a nice steady rain for the affected areas.

Dear Aussie, I just wanted to tag onto all the others to tell you that everyone I know is praying for Australia right now. On Facebook, every other posting is about the fires, the destruction, the animals, and all the people losing everything they own. The pictures are horrendous and heartbreaking. I have been praying for you, personally, and I will add Melody also. I have asthma also, and I know how she's feeling right now. I'm so glad she has gotten medical help.
