"Peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers". Won't finish this tongue twister, but my kids got a kick out of this. Laughed when my three yr. old tried to say it. :~)
I wish I were a cook. In spite of my age, I'm a real novice. I'd put the red pepper in macaroni salad and the green one in a meatloaf. How about it, you guys? What should be done with them?
The bell peppers remind me of my grandfather. Long ago when he came to visit from Pennsylvania, he and I would make pickled cabbage because we both loved it. We would be delighted when we found red and yellow peppers in the store as they added another taste and color to our concoction!
Interesting how Mother Nature makes the same thing so different from one another yet the same--if you know what I mean. The peppers also come in orange and yellow.
I also love the peppers and I made some soup with them with other veggie's and so lovely and cost next to nothing, and every one ask what was in the soup and would not believe it was so simple to make and enjoy.
