I have flower plots all over the yard and I'm having trouble with my hands so weeding is going to be impossible soon.
I let grass grow into 2 plots already. Am trying to get perennials to take over the work but each time I buy a group the pests show up to decimate them..

I don't do much outside. I had my "handiman" come today and blow my back roof and sidewalk. Loads of leaves falling--oak trees! His wife also came to see my new kitchen area. She comes over and feeds my cats when I travel--which isn't much anymore. Only trip planned is in June for my 63rd HS class reunion. Decided we couldn't wait 5 years between anymore. None of us are getting any younger!!

Have a safe and happy reunion. There's nobody from my HS I'd ever care to see again. Most of them treated me like I had leprosy.

There were about 120 in my class. Of course we had our small groups, but now everyone gets along with each other. Guess we are glad we are still alive! We haven't lost too many from the class--maybe about 30 or so. I wouldn't be interested in attending a class reunion that has the amount of kids in it now. Our small class was wonderful and our senior classes are still about the same size--and it's a public high school. In fact our senior home room has been the same since it was built in 1906. It was a gift to the town so it is a beautiful high school. If you look up "Fairhaven High School, Fairhaven, Ma, you will see the school.

Yes, my sister and I graduated in 1954 from Fairhaven High School--across the bridge from New Bedford--which was our rival school.

Pixie, I'm with you. I did go to one of my reunions, the 20th year reunion I think, and saw my dearest boyfriend from high school. He was married, but wanted me to "go to his office" with him (I guess he didn't have any etchings). I didn't go and was so hugely disappointed that my old flame was such a sputtering dud. Haven't bothered with any reunions since then.

Sounds like a bad movie, trynfindit. Glad you could see right thru him.
It amazes me how some people have such high opinions of themselves...I'm talking about your old flame. Sounds more like a lump of charcoal to me...a wet one.

Elijah, I googled the high school, and I think it's magnificent! I've never seen a more beautiful school.

It is beautiful. Marble floors, teak wood used. My English class did a booklet on the highschool. We had to talk to people who had attended shortly after it was built and dedicated. I still have an original copy. Much later they made it into a book to sell. They are still using the school, but also have an addition to it.
Somebody is ready to put in a couple of plants. It's sure not me! I plant them then expect them to thrive with no more attention. How very self-centered of me.
God bless you all with His unfailing love and constant attention.
Hi aussie
I hope you had a nice day planting your bulbs, my freesias are in bloom really enjoy the aroma while weeding the area, which I will be doing today since there won't be any rain until tonight it has been a record breaking year here in my part of California.

Same here tutudiane, the weather has gone crazy al over. Hugs.
Looks like someone is going to get their hands dirty!
I don't know why, but I could never get used to wearing gardening gloves, or any kind of gloves. Since I'm on the subject...don't particularly like gardening either. Ha Ha. I pay a landscaper to do the dirty work. ((:>)
