I can't believe that the holiday season will soon be upon us. Bah Humbug!
Time seems to be going so fast for me, maybe I should leave the tree up all year. I always loved a real tree, but the last one I had I couldn't get rid of. We are not allowed to put trees out for the trash truck. I had that one rolling around the back yard until August when I paid a guy to haul it off. So I bought fake. It is very pretty, but has no fabulous fragrance.
You could always spray the artificial tree with pine spray. Makes it seem real

Hi Starrphyre, Pine scented candles work for me. I love my two "fake" trees. They're so full and beautiful. We're also thinking of leaving them up all year. An interesting concept. They're so much work putting together and decorating. Then it seems I don't want to take them apart, very depressing. :( We go back to drab. :( Ours are already up and we are almost finished decorating inside. Needed to get an early jump on the holiday, company is coming for Thanksgiving! Yeah! :))

I have had your problem, solved it with a nice wreath inside. Happy Holidays to all
Elegant. I'm torn between the traditional red and green and silver and gold ---- and the more glitzy (in a good way!). Maybe traditional with a sprinkling of glitz!
JAMP124, in my opinion you cannot "overdo" a tree. I love to have it jammed with everything! I used to lie down on the floor under the tree and gaze up under the branches. Gives a whole new gorgeous perspective. This probably goes back to my childhood and I've never gotten over the thrill.
I love a green tree with all the colors on it and lots of sparkle & glitter. My fav ornament is a handblown white swan with ostrich feathers from the tail. I also love my okra angel made from okra & wired ribbon. Oh I might as well admit it..I love them all.
Gold and red on the (real) dark green christmas tree is my favourite combination, last year London had a lot of blue, but that for me is not a Christmas colour its to cold. Enjoy the rest of Advent.
I agree Barbaranne: Blue is not my color for Christmas. The Red and Green have significance. And there is nothing like a green Christmas Tree. Merry Christmas. I enjoy all your posts!
