Wow what a lovely salad this one looks, could do with this at the moment seem to be bulging out in all the wrong plcves, and being xmas this does not help.
Perky little salad. Add anchovies and a nice Italian dressing plus some buttered Italian bread and I'm in.
We have begun our winter doldrums weather where the sky is grey even when it doesn't rain. Soo wishing you ways to perk up grey days--like the colors in this puzzle for example.
I would rather have sardines or kippers than anchovies. We also have some drab skies here and winter is not far behind seems like.

I like sardines on rye with mayo, and anchovies.
Sprinkle some pepper, too. Then have a V8 with a bit of lime juice and you have a perfect Lenten repast.

NO, NO, and NO I would not could not eat anchovies and would rather try green eggs with ham. Just don't like them and that means there is MORE for you.

LOL. There's more for both of you; I can't abide sardines OR anchovies (a/k/a fuzzy fish).

Well, Rozina--that's one of those foods some folks love and others hate and no in between. Tell you what--give me your anchovies and the next time there's asparagus I'll gladly give you mine.

Ha-ha-ha I also don't particularly like asparagus. How do you feel about broccolli crowns and cauliflower??? I love them. Fuzzy fish, huh? I like that one! trynfindit.

I like broccoli but not so much cauliflower. There aren't many veggies I like and even the ones I do I like a sauce of some kind--salad dressing will do--on them. I don't like most fish either. Atlantic salmon with teriyaki sauce I do enjoy. I once had snapper in a restaurant in Carmel that was yummy but otherwise no. When we lived on a river and caught fish my husband ate most of it--usually brook trout--but I did like the bass.

What about crab cakes? I loved to put mayo on my fish stix with fries when I was a kid.

Tartar sauce for me and yes I love crab cakes. I liked fish sticks but not a lot. I used to like shrimp but I seem to have lost my taste for them.
I am curious what would be a REAL Greek Salad, Oh let me guess, Kalamata olives, Feta cheese, onion, tomato, any sprigs of parsley or mint? Other than Romaine what would you use as greens? Now tell me the real ingredients...Thanks! No I am not of Greek descent but love those dolmatkis, and galatakbouriko custard like desert.

The traditional recipe is: olives, feta cheese, onion, tomato, cucumber, peppers and for the dressing: olive oil, salt and pepper (to your taste), dried oregano and lemon juice (or vinegar)...of course you can use this recipe as a basis and create your unique salad...

I LOVE Kalmata olives. They bear no taste resemblance to black olives for those who have not tried them.

Pixipixil I love olives, there are many types of black olives, and each type has different taste, but my favorite are Kalamata olives

I like them with my sandwiches instead of pickles.
