God has blessed me this week. My old car, a Daihatsu Charade I had been driving for 20 years so had been looking for a Toyota Yaris for a while now, in blue :) This week a dear friend found one on the internet. I was able to buy it and pay cash for it - it is only a year old and still has two years warranty on it and they reduced the price by $500. A friend who checked it out for me didn't believe I got such a good car for the price and said it was extraordinary, and I reminded him that we serve an extraordinary God. Incidentally it is blue!!! What to do with the Daihatsu, my old car. The told me they could only give me $200 trade-in on it and the salesman advised me to sell it privately and I would probably get $1, 000 for it. So put it on the local sales sites in Facebook. Only had it on there two days, received many enquiries and the first person who looked at it bought it - just have to get a road worthy certificate on Tuesday and it is a done deal.
Just thought I would share this with you if you need some encouragement. Never give up and know that prayer is a powerful weapon. I never thought at my age I would get such an amazing car.
Glad you had some good news for a change, Aussie. It's about time something good came your way.

Awesome news aussie! And it allows me to roll right into my big praise to the Lord today. As many of you know I have been hit with many deaths of loved ones, serious illness, trials and problems galore for the past two or three years. A month or so ago I prayed God, please, I could sure use something big and good to happen to me for a change. Well, He answered me big time! Yesterday I found out that because I had reached full retirement age I would be no longer receiving Social Security Disability but would get Social Security Retirement benefits and that is more than $1000 a month than I have been scraping by on. In addition to that, they are a year late starting it so they owe me a year's worth of back payments! They'll take their sweet time giving that to me but to not have to count pennies ever month will take a lot of getting used too. Pray I can keep a level head and not go wild with it. God is amazing!

PW, I am headed for a new experience in my life. My husband because of his health and other reasons wants me to learn how to drive. I agree with him, I am a little nervous about learning how to drive at my age. (55). I am getting inspiration from one of my friends who is a widow and learnt how to drive after her husband passed when she was 70. Keep me and others who share the road with me in pray please!

Hi olamae, you can do it!!! I have an almost new car at the moment and it is like learning to drive all over again, so know exactly how you feel. I'll tell you a funny story, when I moved to Canada and bought my first car, all the way home from the car lot I kept telling myself that "they" drive on the other side of the road here and did just fine. However, I decided to go for a drive a bit later and here I was driving down the wrong side of the road and another motorist was headed straight for me lights flashing and horn blowing. I moved to the "right" side of the road rather quickly lol. Of course we drive on the right side of the road here in Aus and the steering wheel is on
the right as well. :) Hugs.

Luck o the Irish must be with me today. I just got a gold for the first time--must be the speedsters are sleeping in today. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket. Ha. Not being a leprechaun meself I'm thinikin that pot o gold is fer someone else.

My pot of gold happens every morning that I can wake up and take care of myself and enjoy a cup of tea. It gets even better when one of the kids calls and we chat long enough to know all is well with us and those we love.
