As a kid, I was totally willing to eat almost any vegetable with some salt and pepper and butter. Meat certainly grossed me out, even though they were careful not to name the animal from which it came. I won't eat eggplant or artichoke hearts. Both gross me out, as the texture is odd.
I'm not a fan of peas. I'll eat them if there are a few of them in soups or stews, but, in many other things, I'm frequently picking them out. I was a picky eater growing up and will eat some things that I wouldn't touch as a child, such as green beans and beets, but, I still won't eat peas or lima beans.
I'm with you on peas. I also don't like green beans or lima beans or beets.

Guess I'm not as picky as I thought, will eat all of those, don't like cooked carrots (raw is fine)& don't like Brussels sprouts anyway. Use to have to stay at the table as child until I ate 3 Brussels sprouts.

I still like my pickled beets, those are one of my favorites, want them cold or in a salad.

This was put in my autograph book when I was young.
I eat my peas with honey
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on the knife!!
LOL - hugs.

I love peas, lima beans, beets and carrots but have never been able to stomach green beans.

Cat Lady - once my mom wouldn't let me eat the table until I ate my green beans - after a couple of hours (at least it seemed that long), she finally gave up and never tried that again.

I cut one of my Brussels sprouts in to 3 pieces and she finally went along with that. She never did get me to try liver & onions, I couldn't stand to even smell it. In fact I still say that is what got me to the hospital with my first child. She had fixed it for my hubby and he ended up having to take me to the hospital before he got to eat it.

My hubby and I LOVE liver & onions. If it's cooked right.

Lord, help us not to define our self-worth by what we do for You, but by what You have done for us. Show us how we can show Your love to others.
God bless you all.
