A neighbour of mine got in a really dark place last week and tried to end her life. She did not succeed, but will need a lot of support when she comes home from hospital. I know those lovely prayer warriors on here will uphold her in prayer and I thank you in advance. Her name is Annie. God bless all of you. Hugs.

Beautiful bird, beautiful song. I have learned that listening to birdsong, rain, wind chimes etc for awhile before bed on Youtube helps me relax and sleep.

Prayers for Annie. Having survived my own attempt at suicide, I can say it will likely be a long, bumpy, road home and will require a lot of love and caring people. May God be with her and those who support her.

Aussie, I join with the others in prayers for Annie. I don't mean for this to sound trivial because it truly isn't, but I had a friend once who said he'd thought about suicide but decided against it; as he said, "I figured the day I ended my life would have been the day things got better."
Thank you all for caring and your prayers. I have not had much to do with her in the time I have been living here, so do not even know her surname. However, the neighbour who got the message to me about her will probably know and will pop over to see her today with a view to visiting Annie in hospital. Hugs and blessings to all of you.

Mamag, my heart goes out to you and to anyone who has lost a loved one, especially through suicide.
I can't imagine that anyone is ever able to 'come to terms' with the suicide of a loved one.
My ealier comment was truly not meant to b trite and I pray it wasn't taken as such.

Mamag--my heart aches for you. As you know I lost my son in 2014 to drugs. Suicide is even worse. So, so sorry.

Mamag - you have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your son.
This is an Eastern Asian bird. It is very similar to our American robins so I looked both up and it said a robin is also a true thrush. I guess they had the same ancestor way back.
