I think the frosting on top is supposed to represent brains or intestines. Halloween has become increasingly bizarre and gross since I was a kid in the fifties. My Woody Woodpecker, Huckleberry Hound, black cat, and hobo costumes would be considered boring now. I like it better when Halloween proceeds calmly and less antisocially.
When you're a kid, there's no such thing as too much of a sugar rush!

Amen to that jdoty. If you don't already have a problem, a sugar overload on Halloween won't kill you or the kids.

Our son needed to be watched, if he got to much sugar it all came back up. Used to carry a plastic tub when we had to travel. He would try to hide candy from us.
Well, I've finally reached a point in time that if I don't get the 6-piece puzzle in 5 seconds or less, I can stop and go on with a 6 or 7. And I'm also satisfied if I don't do every puzzle that comes up every day. [sigh] Compulsion is such a burden.
What is under the brain frosting? Surely, it isn't more frosting on top of the cookie. It doesn't look very appealing to me. It was an easy puzzle, though.

They look like ground hamburger meat to me, LOL. That would be more appealing to me than icing on cookies.
Leighta says they're brains and I think she's right but they kind of look like sausages or intestines. There must be something under the frosting--maybe a marshmallow? Maybe it isn't frosting--could it be meringue?
Sun is finally out. So good to see it. Spent the morning trying to get a replacement sprayer in the kichen sink not to leak. No luck there.
