Thank you trynfindit, nlb and aknan. Let's hope this c-pack of antibiotics has no side effects either. The literature with it is scary...from deafness to liver failure. It's a new one I haven't had b4 so I'll let you know how it goes.

Thank you xyxy. So far so good. No side effects yet. Still have pain behind my ear and jaw...was good for most of the day but started up around 4. I'm going back to using the camphor in addition to the medicine.

How can you tell that you have a sinus infection? I think I may have one as the pain is unbelievable! I'm so very glad that it's all over. And yes, I'm late replying.

It usually presents like a cold--same symptoms but they don't clear up. In my case I was getting earaches not a runny nose and pressure in my face also my teeth throbbed and the lymph glands under my chin hurt. I thought it was mumps but I've already had that as a kid. My doctor said he also has a sinus infection. Neither of us could get flu shots until it cleared up. Unfortunately I still have something. Periodically I get an infection that causes my eyes to produce crystals in the tears that cut up the skin around my eyes and fluid buildup in my face around them occurs if I don't treat it. I had that b4 I took the medicine and that hasn't gone away.

Having had crummy sinuses all my life I can sympathize with you pix. There are sinuses on both sides of the nose just above the teeth. I actually have one tooth that has a root so long it pushes against one of my sinuses. The lymph node under your chin swelled because it's the closes lymph node to the infection. Tears are salt water. Do you think you could have too much salt in your system that could be producing the crystals?

Thanks for the reply, pixi. Right now, fighting against a tooth that requires a root canal. Also think I have a sinus infection. Due to the tooth issue, I'm on a very strong antibiotic and an anti-inflamatory. The specialist has got me on some strong stuff! I'm hoping that it works on my sinuses also. Due the tooth pain and the sinus pain, my face is just in so much pain. I hope that this stuff works fast! Adventures of Taffi...it feels like. And then there's hubby sitting on the couch at home, cast on his foot, unable to work and bored silly. I'm trying to help him find something to do with his time as he's getting tired of TV, tablet and cell phone. I'm hoping something like rug hooking.

Oh Taffi, you made me laugh. Does he ike making models? My dad was keen on making these elaborate ship models that took him many months to complete.

He's got bad eyes so tiny work just will not be happening. The pain is mostly gone. I think the anti-inflamatory is working! Finished my antibiotic but now it takes 5 days to go through my body. Can I string up my husband? :) Yeah, it's feeling like that lol

Hahahahaha!! I love it! I've heard others say their earrings still fit, but that doesn't even apply to me...The holes have all closed over! Lol! The irony of my day: I've lost 30 pounds in the last 6 months, but I'm getting tired of losing it so slowly (I still have over 150 lbs to go) and I'm afraid I'll get discouraged and quit. I found some Garcinia Cambogia in the vitamin department the other day. I've seen a LOT of ads for these, saying that that's how celebrities lose a lot of weight fast. I decided to try them out...I started taking them this morning. So far I've gained 1 pound. Ba-dum-bump! I'll give them a week.

It's probably just coincidence, but I lost three pounds over night! Lol! I'm very skeptical of all these advertisements, too. I read through all the info I could find online, and I decided it really couldn't hurt, as long as I don't stay on it too long. The main danger is liver damage. So I will stay on it for one week and then re-evaluate. I'm on so many other medications, and I'm scared of interactions. Believe me, the first sign of anything unusual, and I'll quit! I'll let you know what happens! By the way, my husband and I are on a semi-diabetic diet, so that's how I lost the first 30 pounds. I just want to speed things up for a week so I don't get bored!
